Founded in 2018 by sisters Olha and Helena Norba, clothing brand NORBA is defined by what the Ukrainian entrepreneurs like to wear: minimalist yet stylish garments that fuse contemporary aesthetics with the convenience of athleisure wear.
Focussing on sustainable materials and understated chic, NORBA has gained a loyal following over the last six years selling clothing online and through selected stockists across the globe. Looking to capitalise further, the sisters recently opened a new showroom located in the heart of Kyiv‘s historic Rylsky Lane; the aptly named NORBA showroom a space for admirers of the brand to try on the clothes in person and soak up in all the vibes the label inspires.
Put together by Litvinenko Design, the elegant showroom presents a captivating blend of modernity and heritage within a former stock exchange pre-Revolution building. Meticulously restored to highlight original architectural features, the minimal space also features natural materials and a muted colour palette that allows the product to speak for itself.
There’s a focus on the innovative use of design objects made from sustainable materials such as a partition crafted from recycled paper and plastic by Australian brand Molo, custom-designed paper lighting, vintage furniture including a Danish Boomerang chair, and other bespoke furniture pieces.
A place of calm amid the bustling city, NORBA showroom reflects the quintessence of quiet luxury, just like the brand, and is a place to explore and linger without any pressure or expectations to purchase.
Blending minimal aesthetics, sustainable fashion and a women-focussed creative vision, NORBA’s beautiful Kyiv flagship is a place to celebrate the sisters who are doing it for themselves.
