Philadelphia-based hospitality company Method Co. bring their design-led, extended-stay hotel concept to Florida, ROOST Tampa featuring 97 beautifully designed apartments and co-living units set over six floors, making this the homely brand’s largest to date.
Designed by long-term collaborators Morris Adjmi Architects, the ’boutique apartments with hotel perks,’ are located within the new Water Street development, a 56-acre urban community on Tampa’s waterfront; introducing an elevated option for long term stays on Florida’s Gulf Coast. With three properties in Philadelphia and one in Cleveland, ROOST Tampa is their first in Florida and in its aesthetics and ambience leans towards the city’s local Latin American heritage and the historic Latin quarter once known as the ‘Cigar Capital of the World.’
Apartments feature full-sized kitchens and modern appliances with custom pieces that draw inspiration from several design muses including Clara Poset, Luis Barragan, Pierre Chapo and Roger Capron. A palette of warm walnut, vintage foliage motifs, hemp strapping and woven textiles including complement glazed raku lighting crafted by Furniture Works, Moroccan rugs from Beni Rugs, leather lounge chairs from Luteca, and surrealist artwork by Massimo Colonna; making these apartment a true home-from-home, ideal for their extended-stay purpose.
