Burger restaurant, Bun, opens yet another restaurant in Milan, the ever-expanding chain (that also has outlets in Turin) opting for the elegant Brera district (an important fixture of Milan Design Week) as its latest home.
Designed by fun-loving Spanish creative consultancy, Masquespacio, Bun Dell’Orso premieres a sophisticated look, nodding to its location surrounded by upscale food shops, fashion boutiques, galleries and design studios. Having already worked together on six restaurants, Masquespacio have this time incorporated elements from other Bun interiors, such as arches with benches on a higher level and its signature furniture and lighting, however this time delivering a more mature aesthetic courtesy of a colour palette of just four and including dry plants and mirrored effects.
In keeping with the brand theme, though, the space still delivers heavily on fun with a capital F. Expect a huge fridge stocked full of ice creams and soda, and an array of ‘zones’ offering different seating arrangements with colour combinations suited to the reason of your visit. Be that popping in for a quick bite with friends or staying a little longer and soaking up the good time vibes. The back room is our favourite, converted into a reinvention of the swimming pool concept, with psychedelic colouring and the use of mirroring designed to give the sense of rippling waters.
Where flavour is everything and design clearly appreciated as an equal, Bun Burgers hit the right notes with this inspired Brera opening.
