Commanding views over Central Park or New York City‘s iconic skyline, Park Lane New York is located on the unfortunately named Billionaires’ Row on Central Park South. But don’t worry, one needn’t be one of those dreadful types to stay at this opulently reimagined Manhattan landmark hotel.
The 47-storey property boasts 610 guest rooms, 11,000 square feet of recreated indoor and outdoor event space, three food and beverage venues (including an 80-seat lobby bar with an outdoor promenade) and Central Park South’s only rooftop lounge, which can be found high up on the hotel’s 47th floor and provides guests with a one-of-a-kind experience against the backdrop of that famous sprawling skyline and park.
Design agency, Yabu Pushelberg, completed a total redesign of the Park Lane New York, creating a space that celebrates the property’s storied history whilst reinvigorating the hotel’s interiors to inject new life and a renewed but whimsical charm.
Entrusted with reawakening the spirit of the iconic hotel, Yabu Pushelberg infused subtle odes of Manhattan iconography throughout, drawing from some of the city’s defining features such as Central Park and its changing seasons, renowned landmark Grand Central Station, and beloved Bemelmans Bar; incorporating the Park Lane’s original spirit as an anchor upon which to build layers of wit, charm, exploration and discovery.
Repurposed original chandeliers, sconces and fixtures infuse a modern graciousness throughout the property, whilst each of Park Lane New York’s 610 guest rooms encapsulate the magic of the city. Spacious and luxurious, they feature plush sitting areas, Bellino Fine Linens, Le Labo Hinoki amenities, and ultra-comfortable slippers and robes.
Rooms also feature custom murals entitled, A Carnival of Animals in Strawberry Fields. Presented by En Viu, they refer to the humorous musical suite by French composer Camille Saint-Saëns, as well as Strawberry Fields, the iconic Central Park memorial dedicated to John Lennon.
Food and Beverage comes courtesy of The Sartiano Group, who’ve created a new modern approach to hotel dining and imbibing. The three venues, Rose Lane, Harry’s New York Bar, and the exclusive rooftop cocktail bar, each provide its own totally distinct and memorable experience.
