A new chapter of desert hospitality is unfolding with the arrival of Casa Palma Palm Springs. Just a mile from the city’s downtown, the boutique retreat reimagines a storied hideaway once frequented by Hollywood’s golden age, bringing Mediterranean flair and social energy to California’s most iconic resort town.
The vision of San Clemente-based designers and entrepreneurs Ryan and Rochelle Jaleh, the project breathes new life into the original 1940s playground created by screen legend Errol Flynn. Inspired by childhood visits to Palm Springs and travels through Capri, the couple set out to create a place that bridges luxury with recreation, and sophistication with connection. “With Casa Palma, our goal was to bring something truly unique to the Palm Springs market,” says Ryan Jaleh.

“We’re speaking to a discerning traveller who’s outgrown the party scene of their twenties but still wants to have a great time. They value beauty, thoughtful design, and exceptional service, but above all, they’re craving meaningful connection and fun reflected in activity, sports, wellness, and shared experiences.”
That ethos runs through the resort’s discerning design and amenities. Twenty-two guest rooms and eleven suites are spread across grounds of citrus groves, manicured lawns, and mountain views. An ultra-white mid-century façade is softened by bougainvillea accented with turquoise and gold, and approached via tiled Greco-Mediterranean steps. Interiors embrace an airy palette of seafoam and slate alongside natural woods and woven textures, while bathrooms feature quartz vanities, tiled showers, and Malin + Goetz products. Artworks nod to the property’s historic lion head water features, carefully preserved by the Jalehs.
Amenities include two swimming pools, a tennis court with pickleball overlays, sweeping lawns for yoga or sunlit picnics, firepits, and an outdoor BBQ. Think a leisure focus mixed with laid-back Californian ease. Adding to the experience, the soon-to-open Chiquita restaurant will serve Mediterranean-inspired cuisine across indoor and open-air settings with views of the San Jacinto Mountains.
Evoking the glamour of mid-century Palm Springs while channelling Mediterranean sophistication, Casa Palma signals a fresh era for one of California’s most storied destinations.
