A high-end gelateria that brings the philosophy of haute cuisine to the world of frozen desserts, Gelato Collection is an indulgent fusion of culinary artistry and olfactory luxury, and seeks to reimagine gelato as a sensory experience akin to perfume.
Designed in collaboration with locally-based studio El Equipo Creativo, the minds behind Adrià’s much-missed Tickets and Pakta among many others, Gelato Collection is a symphony of contrasts; cold yet inviting, and minimalist yet sophisticated.
Situated on the city’s infamous La Rambla, Albert Adrià’s latest conception swaps the traditional gelateria aesthetic for something altogether more refined, blurring the lines between ice cream parlour, perfumery, and jewellery boutique.
At its heart is the gelato display case, a sleek, fluted glass counter that shimmers with icy allure. A palette of metallics and champagne tones run through the interior reflecting movement and light, while three ethereal hexagonal glass lamps float above the entrance, casting a glow reminiscent of crystallised ice. The result? A space that feels as curated as the confections it serves.
Much more than a pitstop for cooling off, Gelato Collection offers a moment of pure indulgence. A place where the art of flavour meets the elegance of design, and the promise of refreshing both body and senses, this is a concept rather befitting of one of modern cuisine’s most creative minds.
