Architecture studio Michaelis Boyd have completed work on Luxembourg boutique, Muse By…, the flagship store split over two floors, each showcasing high-end ready-to-wear fashion, footwear and accessories.
Located at 60 Grand Rue, the luxury outlet blends soft and industrial elements to create an interior style that speaks to existing customers; whilst serving to attract a new crowd and curious travellers. The colourful and impactful design features handmade terracotta tiles alongside green glazed tiling; terrazzo and concrete flooring; large, lavish rugs; and warm lighting.
The ground floor, with its designated zones, allows customers to traverse the concept store with ease, textures and materials changing and transitioning between the front entrance and rear; said entry point providing a warm welcome through the use of a soft colour palette and curved till point that’s topped with a terrazzo worktop and clad in handmade terracotta tiles.
The goods for sale are highlighted by mannequins upon bespoke timber plinths, custom cabinets and backlit floating shelves. Towards the back of the store, the show section is graced with a circular, green, soft taupe carpet that acts as a softener for the exposed ceiling with revealing ductwork and suspended track light fittings.
A black steel staircase leads to the basement which is home to a wall of sunglasses, a cosmetics counter and café; where shoppers can indulge in a glass of champagne as they ponder their purchases. Clad in handmade glazed green tiles by Otto Tiles, with a worktop surface in dark grey terrazzo and dark green velvet barstools, this space is the personification of luxury and high-end design combined.
Interiors as dreamy as the products, the new flagship for this Luxembourg brand is an impressive ode to swish style and considered retail.
