Bōkan, Canary Wharf

Scale the heights with London's high fliers at a soaring new spot for kicking back in Canary Wharf...

There are heart-stopping panoramic views of the London’s financial capital and beyond at bar and restaurant Bōkan; the city’s newest sky-high hotspot for partaking in a bit of the old eating, drinking and mingling.

Dominating the entirety of three floors (numbers 37, 38 and 39 to be precise) of Canary Wharf’s Novotel, the elevated dining and drinking destination doesn’t just deal in those show-stopping vistas of London’s famous skyline — amid some very nice moody interiors, courtesy of London- and Los Angeles-based studio Mystery, Bōkan has the likes of Aurélie Altemaire (former head chef at L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon) and Danilo Tersigni (Mr Fogg’s) putting together modern European dishes and experimental cocktails; all to be consumed at those dizzying heights.

Access to Bōkan is via an express lift, which whisks its guests up, up and away to the 37th floor restaurant, 38th floor bar, and impressive rooftop terrace; a sanctuary that sits an impressive 39 floors above ground level. Here, an all-weather open-air terrace offers up some relaxed vibes and a spot for city dwellers to hide away from the stresses of London’s all-go lifestyle.
