Bo Reudler Studio for JSPR, Sketch Outdoor Furniture

Dutch design studio sketch up playful outdoor furniture designs for an eye-popping summer season...

With another Milan Design Week done and dusted, the design community’s eyes and minds are still in a dizzying state; unable to fully process the sheer amount design delights we’ve witnessed — read: too many negronis (you’re only lying to yourself)

Bo Reudler Studio Sketch

Amsterdam-based Bo Reudler Studio presented two new collections, but it was Sketch — a selection of fanciful tubular steel outdoor furniture, in soft pastel colours — that piqued our attention.

The seating and lighting, created for Dutch furniture brand JSPR, feature organic lines in keeping with a form that has remained almost unchanged since first pioneered in the 1920s and ’30s, however — injecting a touch of playfulness — we’re told that ‘the seat, back rest and lamp shade were made in a way that allows for randomness, meaning each piece of furniture is unique’. Summer is fast approaching; and this functional collection is one that’s guaranteed to brighten up any outdoor space.
