Not long after Benji Holroyd had given us a Create GB interview about his design agency SB Studio – masters of sleek simplicity and effortless aesthetic – the Liverpool-based creative was opening the doors of his latest venture, the utterly charming Cow&Co. Stocking all manner of delightful design curiosity, co-founder Nicola Holroyd hopes to employ a “customer service that seems long-forgotten on today’s high street” – with all goods individually packaged by members of the team, meticulous attention to detail paid to all areas of the shop’s design, and rare stock coming from all around the world.
SB Studio are now located upstairs, and the shop doubles up as a meeting space – visually, of course, it’s a delight, but there’s a real warmth about the place too; the Holroyd’s creative vision is easily matched by the character they’ve lavished upon their retail concept. Having spent the last few months designing packaging for their own forthcoming Cow&Co products, and already stocking a number of local collaborations (the exclusively designed teabags from local independent tea shop Leaf on Bold St. are simply stunning), we’re excited about the bright future this fledgling retail concept is looking forward to. Marvellous.
