StudioBom, the Lisbon-based design studio founded by Émeline and Geoffrey has unveiled its first interior project: French pâtisserie ‘BomBom’, located in the city’s Amoreiras district. The 150 square metre ground-floor space, part of a contemporary residential building, now houses a vibrant and joyful atmosphere that reflects both the brand’s sweet offerings and StudioBom’s singular creative spirit.
Approached by pâtisserie owners Sandra and Pedro with carte blanche to reimagine the interior, StudioBom delivered a custom-designed space that merges geometry, colour and functionality. Every piece of furniture — from the mid-height communal table and double benches to the high counter and modular grocery-display unit — was crafted specifically for the site. The result is a cohesive visual identity that’s visible from inside and out.

With roots in the eccentric Postmodernist worlds of Superstudio and Memphis, StudioBom embrace bold combinations and playful palettes. “We helped the client to push the colour choices to their maximum,” explains Geoffrey. “That’s what makes the space so distinctive. It’s our signature; bold colours, dynamic shapes.”
Geometric forms and clean silhouettes impart a refined edge, while interplay of colour steals the show with hues popping against one another, bringing a sense motion to the pâtisserie which serves an array of sweet and savoury treats from choux and tarts to quiches and croque monsieurs.
Beyond aesthetics, the studio also led the project management, ensuring the creative direction remained intact throughout the build. As Émeline notes, the partnership was a meaningful one; “a creative exchange built on trust and shared energy.”
A fitting start for StudioBom’s interior portfolio, BomBom Pâtisserie is a hungry design-obsessive’s visual playground of colour, shapes and sweet treats.
