Lanterna by Zelda is Ambra Cortina’s new hi-fi bar and lounge; a contemporary destination where design, sound, food and cocktails go into the mix. Set within the hotel’s reimagined winter garden, the space combines warmth, intimacy and precision. Soft lighting and carefully selected materials create a welcoming environment, while a hi-fi system is integrated into the architecture, ensuring music shapes the mood. Every detail from seating to finishes, is curated to encourage guests to absorb the evening at a measured pace.
The atmosphere is relaxed yet refined, balancing the alpine context with a subtle modernity. Lanterna positions itself between aperitivo and dinner, offering an unhurried and social vibe. It is designed as a space for presence enjoy and connect, whether that be with hotel guests, locals or international travellers.
Food and drink are conceived with the same attention to balance. The menu draws on Japanese influence and Ampezzo tradition, moving from katsu sando and bao to local cheeses and regional boards. The cocktail programme, developed with bar manager Cesare Ferrari, complements the menu and the atmosphere. Fifteen signature drinks include sake-based cocktails and the Silver Mountain, a contemporary alpine reinterpretation of the Moscow Mule.
Lanterna’s concept is informed by a collaboration with DENHAM clothing, bringing Japanese sensibilities of restraint, craftsmanship and considered detail into the alpine context, and this influence is evident throughout.
By bringing together design, music, food and drink, Lanterna sets a new standard for hospitality in the Dolomites. It is the first contemporary hi-fi bar in Cortina d’Ampezzo, offering a space where every element — from materiality to menu to soundtrack — works in harmony, creating an experience that is immersive, relaxed and unmistakably modern.
