Located at 3300 Kirby Drive, this 3,000 square foot dining destination — plus a 1,000 square foot patio — fuses food, atmosphere, and visual drama into an experience that feels part sci-fi dreamscape, part neon-drenched Tokyo alleyway.
With aesthetics put together by gin design group, the space draws heavily from the stylised worlds of Blade Runner and Kill Bill, reimagining the traditional dining format through a hyper-modern, immersive lens. At the centre of it all stands an inverted, eight foot tall Bonsai tree, its LED-lit foliage reflected dramatically in a glowing red circular mirror. Guests step through a darkened portal flanked by illuminated Plexi screens into a layered realm of turquoise and royal purple upholstery, metallic finishes, and flickering shadow projections across towering Shoji screens.
Over 4,000 linear feet of crimson rope cascade above glossy black booths, creating cocoon-like alcoves framed by intricate red metalwork. Private and group spaces are defined with keyhole openings, thick drapery, and glowing, colour-shifting fin railings that lead to an upper level for customisable dining experiences.
In the kitchen, executive chef Jeffrey Taylor and sushi chef Jose Espinoza bring together the full spectrum of Asian culinary influences in a series of inventive, shareable plates. Expect a journey through bold flavours and elevated traditions, further amplified by Haii Keii’s cocktail program, a fearless mix of rare spirits, unique infusions, and unexpected ingredients that reframe what a night out in Houston can be.
