Set over 300 square metres, the lush MR PORTER dining room is made up of a harmony of lines, colours, and shapes; from discreet booths to a central 360-degree island bar where guests sip cocktails underneath copper mesh chandeliers with the rest of the city’s beautiful people. Settling into a booth at the back of the restaurant—strategically so, for MR PORTER is a fine spot for people watching—we order a glass of crisp, local cava whilst perusing the menu; our friendly and informed waiter bringing us a fresh-from-the-wood-fired-oven MR PORTER Focaccia to nibble on while we make our choice. With bread this good, one knows they’re in for a veritable tango through taste sensations.
What follows is a culinary journey that takes us from land to sea and back again. Sharing the freshest Gillardeau oysters and plates that include spicy yellow tail sashimi; that delectable rib eye with a side of Iberico cauliflower mac ‘n’ cheese; grilled lobster with herb butter and a ‘spicy pile of tomatoes’ side; roasted baby cauliflower; and a selection on sinful desserts.
