The Hoxton Williamsburg

The Hoxton completes its hip neighbourhood loop, as the Shoreditch-born hotel brand debuts Stateside in ever-cool Williamsburg...

The Hoxton have gone Stateside, calling Williamsburg home for its first foray onto American ground. A fitting locale for the hotel chain born in Shoreditch, The Hoxton Williamsburg is situated on the former site of the Rosenwach water tank factory at 97 Wythe Avenue and has been designed by Ennismore Design Studio in collaboration with Soho House.

Featuring 175 rooms; handsome public spaces; three restaurants; an eclectic cultural programme, most of which will take place at The Apartment (a space comprised of meeting rooms and a communal pantry, ideal for meetings throughout the day and private parties and events through the evening); and a Instagram-primed rooftop bar with sweeping views over Brooklyn and over to Manhattan, the latest outpost for the brand continues to hone its signature essence of style and substance.

So much more than a hotel, The Hoxton Williamsburg—as with their other ‘open house’ properties—is a place for locals and guest to hang out alongside one another, a base from where to really get under the skin of a city, and a destination informed the diversity and creativity of the neighbourhood that surrounds it; using its locality as a starting point for all.

Rooms follow the typical Hoxton style: Cosy, Cosy with a View (Brooklyn or Manhattan skyline), and Roomy, with all featuring brass details, raw concrete ceilings befitting of its location, and contrasting mohair headboards in sage green, port, and navy. The usual Hox perks come as standard, whilst the reception shop sells local goodies at supermarket prices, perfect for stocking up the in-room mini fridge. The main restaurant, Klein’s, serves Americana-inspired classics to be enjoyed in the lobby or brasserie-style eatery, whilst Backyard—an outdoor mezzanine restaurant—is a more relaxed affair where guests can play ping pong and relax in the summer sun after chips and dips and cocktails. The Hoxton‘s premier rooftop, Summerly, is the place to get your lobster roll and clam pie fix whilst taking in views of the world’s most iconic skyline.

Collaborations with local makers and creators mark the brand’s first foray into retail, the shop located in the lobby featuring one-off products and limited-edition items. Embodying the globally-renowned cool of its neighbourhood, The Hoxton Williamsburg is a new destination hotel and focal point for Brooklyn and beyond.
