Size is a big thing at the Click Clack Hotel in Bogotá. Guests choose their room standard from a range of S to XL; as the price goes up so does the level of luxury and the elevation, with the largest rooms afforded the best views of the Colombian capital. Although not the largest hotel in itself at 10 floors, it does have some giant design features. The oversized fountain pen and the dangling teacup are curiously at odds with Click Clack’s modest dimensions, and throughout the hotel manages to feel more spacious than seems possible from the exterior.
Speaking of outside, one of the most interesting aspects of the hotel is the exterior cladding, which is like a skin through which large windows burst. When experienced from the inside looking out, the effect of the asymmetrical lattice is like a cracked windscreen, but take a few steps back and it could be a street map of Bogotá – check it out at the rooftop bar which boasts a 360 degree view of the city.
