Broken Fingaz bring their dystopian psychedelic visions to Amsterdam...

Citizens of Amsterdam, stop what you are doing and proceed directly to Batallion at the Westergasfabriek, as you only have two more days to catch the current exhibition from Israeli art collective Broken Fingaz. The group from Haifa created this hugely impressive mural on Made Creative‘s wall in the Amsterdam docklands a couple of weeks ago, then it was over to the gasworks to install some more of their visually lacerating pop-art nightmares.

Broken Fingaz have been over in Amsterdam to work on a project with the Amsterdam Fund for Arts and KUNSTENISRAËL, and they’ve brought with them a whole lot of artistic energy which has poured out in some pretty dystopian imagery. Not only are the Fingaz broken, but so is society as seen through the collective’s eyes. Theirs is a world of belching factories, choking vines, rivers of blood and a whole lot of skulls – the stench of death is everywhere. Get over to Batallion by 19 September, or you’re all doomed…
