We*Do Gallery, Bangkok

we*do love this conceptual gallery cum retail space...

When you design such an exacting furniture shop, it must be a bit of a wrench to actually sell anything. Of course, We*Do, in Bangkok, is not just a furniture shop. In fact it’s a showroom for the work of interior designer Francisco Polo and architect Markus Herchet, which offers a smorgasbord of design items, from the material to the conceptual. The objects you can actually lay your hands on are all limited editions, numbered and signed by the creators, and the two masterminds also offer their respective skills to the gallery visitors.

A wall of white is punctured by striking works of art hand-picked by the duo, which are rotated to keep the place fresh. Also lending the space a serious dash of colour are the fushia and purple seats, which set against the walls give the viewer a flick in the eyeballs. Patrons can expect to see some interesting sculptures popping up in the central spaces in the future.

Just one thing: can someone tell that girl her lippy is smudged? Everything else in here is so neat…
