Miiro Spittelberg has opened its doors in the Vienna‘s charming district of the same name; adding a second property in the city for the burgeoning lifestyle hotel brand. Set just behind MuseumsQuartier, the hotel sits within one of the city’s most characterful quarters, where cobbled streets, independent galleries and long-standing café culture give the neighbourhood a distinctly lived-in creative vibe.
The building houses 132 guest rooms and suites designed by Archisphere, where contemporary lines meet a softer, residential sensibility. The palette moves between warm neutrals and considered accents of colour, layered with natural textures and low, atmospheric lighting. Rooms are furnished with locally sourced artworks, plush bedding, Le Labo toiletries and rainfall showers, alongside small reading corners for disconnection. Options range from The Classic Queen and The Twin through to The Deluxe Studio, while The Spittelberg Suite offers courtyard views, a freestanding bathtub and a separate living area.
At the centre of the hotel sits Poco, an Italian-inspired pizzeria and bar created by London restaurateurs Jake Bucknall and Jacob Stuttard of D4100. Running from morning through to late evening, the café cum restaurant and bar is set to a soundtrack of vinyl records. The menu spans fresh coffee and Viennoiserie in the morning, through to pizzas, small plates and cocktails later in the day, including signature dishes such as the SpittelBerg pizza with yellow tomato sauce, fior di latte, salsiccia, ’nduja and caramelised onion. The drinks list follows the same easygoing tone, with spritzes, aperitifs and natural wines designed for long, informal evenings.
Art plays a central role throughout the property. A large-scale ceiling installation by Vienna-based artist FLOW SO FLY spans the space in a single continuous gesture, while across the public areas, works by Austrian and international artists including Christian Ludwig Attersee, Josef Mikl, Heimo Zobernig and Cornelius Kolig, reflect Vienna’s ongoing relationship with modern and contemporary art.
Elsewhere, guests have access to a 24-hour gym equipped with NOHRD equipment, and a Refresh Room designed for arrivals and departures, offering showers, luggage storage and space to reset around check-in times.
Miiro Spittelberg follows the launch of Miiro Palais Rudolf in Vienna’s Old Town, marking the brand’s continued expansion across Europe, with properties already established in Paris, Barcelona, London and Gstaad.
