With sophisticated dining in lavish surrounds, LAVO's UK debut is a luxuriant new gastronomic experience for the capital...

With restaurants in Singapore, New York, Los Angeles and The Venetian, Las Vegas, LAVO has arrived on UK shores, the highly anticipated Italian dining experience from Tao Group Hospitality (Hakkasan, Yauatcha) now open at London‘s newest luxury hotel, The BoTree.

Open for lunch and dinner and serving up modern Italian cuisine with a coastal flair, diners can delight in the brand’s signature dishes including wagyu meatball topped with whipped ricotta; tagliatelle al limone infused with marjoram, sweet butter and Kaluga caviar; and whole grain, single-source flour pizzas, whilst specialities include a lobster all’arrabbiata calabrian with chilli butter, sundried tomato, oregano breadcrumbs, and fresh salt-baked Mediterranean seabass for two.

Led by the group’s chief culinary officer Ralph Scamardella and executed by head chef Stefano Lorenzini (Cecconi’s Mayfair and Shoreditch House), dishes are seasonal and flavoursome, paying homage to Lorenzini’s Mediterranean heritage, yet splashed with a more than a little dash of contemporary flair.

Interiors were overseen by Tao Group Hospitality’s in-house team, who have brought LAVO to life through a lush olive tree, foliage and lattice brick walls. Bespoke sculptural pieces come courtesy of Dorian Van Braam, the English born, Dutch heritage-artist integrating pieces inspired by his many years living in Florence, making for a special personal connotation that complements the Italian culinary experience.
