With a focus on nourishing and seasonal food, Kelly Landesberg’s all-day dining space, A.O.K Kitchen & Bakery, has opened on Marylebone’s Dorset Street—combining first class hospitality and topnotch ingredients with splendid surrounds; the restaurant’s Instagram-friendly interiors including creeping vines and blooms, hand-painted silk wallpaper, gemstone marble floors, and serene lighting to set the mood.
Hungry locals can follow the smell of freshly-baked goods downstairs to the A.O.K Bakery, where specialty breads and pastries—including the obligatory dairy and gluten free options—are prepared in-house, all created by The Arts Club’s head baker Sebastien Chiono and showcased in an exquisite glass cabinet. Each delightful bite to be savoured underneath a low-lying vaulted ceiling.
At ground level, Kelly and her team bring a fresh approach to the London dining scene with dishes inspired by the Mediterranean, California, and the Greek background of head chef Kostas Rampias (formerly of MoMo’s). Free from refined sugar, diners can expect açai bowls, fluffy pancakes, and eggs for breakfast, whilst later in the day the focus is on fresh and light plates such as sea bass ceviche, BBQ lamb chops and rocket and pomegranate tabbouleh.
