It only needs a quick glance inside Feeld Organic in Barcelona to spot the standout interior design feature — it’s as plain as the nose on her face. Conrad Roset‘s beautiful mural of a flower-haired, nymph-like maiden jumps out from the pale background in the café section of this venue, which also incorporates an organic supermarket. Pedestrians passing by on the street outside can also catch a glimpse of Roset’s creation; the business is located on the busy Avinguda Diagonal, meaning his work will not be short of admirers. The woman is one of Roset’s Muses, which have been a favourite subject for the Terrassa-born artist in his career to date.
That’s to take nothing away from the rest of the design at this considered and considerable premises. As well as an impressive range of dried goods, the supermarket boasts a great selection of farm fresh fruit and veg — much of it grown locally — and meat and fish counters. Head upstairs for a sit-down bite to eat, or one of their renowned (and frankly delicious) juices, where the vast dimensions of the ground floor become cosier while the industrial architectural features remain.
