Set in Dublin’s Creative Quarter, The Hoxton makes its Irish debut in the former Central Hotel, a Victorian landmark restored with a light touch and a respect for its long history. Archaeological finds uncovered during renovation — from Viking-era remnants to medieval coins — now sit within the lobby, connecting the building to the city’s origins.
Designed by AIME Studios, the open-house lobby brings together stained glass, oak-lined bar details, leather seating and soft natural light, creating an easy, familiar atmosphere. The return of The Library Bar adds a local favourite back into the mix, its tall windows, marble fireplace and shelves of worn books making it one of the city’s most inviting corners once again.
Across four floors, 129 rooms follow the classic Hox categories. Warm neutrals, moss greens, navy and textured layers echo the Irish landscape, while botanical notes, geometric stripes and locally curated artwork bring individuality. Bathrooms combine seafoam tiles with oxblood detailing and chrome fixtures, giving a subtle nod to vintage style.
Cantina Valentina sits on the ground floor, a Peruvian-inspired restaurant shaped by woven textures, embroidered fabrics and a mural influenced by Vinicunca. The menu spans ceviche, grilled plates, slow-cooked dishes and flavours drawn from Lima’s picanterías. Dollars offers New York deli classics during the day before shifting into a relaxed natural-wine bar serving oysters and small plates at night.
Opening in early 2026, Groundwork will introduce The Hoxton’s first dedicated nightlife venue. Industrial finishes, sculptural archways and clean lighting define the 220 capacity space, which will work closely with local music talent to shape its programme.
Community involvement runs through the hotel, from the Hox Gallery’s debut exhibition by Irish-Ghanaian artist William Kwaku Amo to the Best Of shop featuring goods from neighbouring makers and independent Dublin brands. With Grafton Street, Temple Bar, St. Stephen’s Green and the surrounding cafés and boutiques just moments away, The Hoxton Dublin settles easily into one of the city’s most energetic districts. Sláinte.
