The interiors of Seaside Finolhu Baa Atoll’s are rich in custom furnishings and natural materials such as sisal, timber, clay and rope; forming a warm canvas for decorative flourishes. Origami lighting, woven textiles, basketwork, coloured glass, and lanterns give each interior its own distinct essence, while an abundance of glass doors bring the outside in to fashion a truly relaxing atmosphere.
125 villas are dotted across the island, each offering complete seclusion. Some are situated directly on the sand, others perch above the water on elegant stilts. Architecturally, the design blends a bold contemporary aesthetic with subtle Maldivian references. Natural thatched roofs and muted exteriors ensure even the largest of spaces sit quietly within their environment.
Dining here is an experience in itself. Four distinct restaurants take guests on a global journey from expressive Asian flavours at fine-dining Kanusan, to the fragrant North African influences of Arabian Grill. The Beach Club pairs cocktails with the salty air, while the Crab Shack strips everything back with toes-in-the-sand simplicity.
The yoga pavilion is the ideal place to enjoy the breeze and partake in a sunrise meditation, or strength training session, while beneath the surface of the surrounding Baa Atoll — a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve — awaits the world’s largest gatherings of manta rays.
