Established in 2017 as TT Liquor before rebranding in 2024 as simply ‘TT’, the multi-faceted venue has expanded beyond a specialist liquor store and subterranean cellar bar, taking over the whole of their building on London‘s Kingsland Road with a focus growing beyond liquor to food, serving seasonal, outdoor-inspired dishes.
Opening in March 2024, a new restaurant will open across two floors on the newly-renovated rooftop as well as a bright, brand new ground floor dining room. Led by ex-Oren head chef, Sam Lone, fire-cooked seasonal produce is the focus with smoking, pickling and baking featuring heavily across the sharing menu.
The roof of the former Victorian police station will feature a retractable roof and windows whilst downstairs, floor to ceiling shop front window will allow in plentiful natural light bringing a touch of the outside indoors, while interiors incorporate warm oak and hardwood alongside stylish Parisian-style fittings.
The newly installed outdoor kitchen is equipped with a bespoke Asado-style grill and wood fired oven — a nod to TT’s early days holding informal rooftop BBQs — and this is where 28 year-old Sam Lone and his team will be creating dishes such as Fire-Roasted Golden Beetroot; Barbecued Chicken Thighs; Flamed Cornish Mussels; Dry Aged Rib Eye; and Lamb Shoulder a la Plancha. Championing seasonal, quality produce, the specials and menu can be expected to change regularly.
Offering all year round panoramic views of East London and the City, with a retractable roof that lets in the summer sun whilst keeping things cosy in the winter months, TT’s is the rooftop to head to for outdoor dining in this hip corner of the capital
