Open Door Policy

bistro offers accessible gourmet dining...

It’s an exciting time for Singaporeans, who are in the midst of a food and drink renaissance thanks in no small part to the efforts of the team behind Open Door Policy, a newly-drafted bistro in the Tiong Bahru district.

Cynthia Chua and Harry Grover, fresh from launching the lovely Broadcast HQ barbecue joint, have barely had time to draw breath before unveiling ODP along with partner Ryan Clift. While there are some similarities between the two places from a style standpoint (brick and boards), this latest venture sports a more industrial aesthetic and leans more in the direction of fine dining, although the menu aims to be accessibly simple.

Harry has kept a space for himself and his speciality coffee bar, which will draw on his barista know-how honed at sister spot 40 Hands across the road on Yong Siak Street, but if you want something a bit stronger, there’s an extensive and unusual wine list to work your way through.
