Design junkies rejoice at launch of our long-time contributor's festival-mad Fiera Magazine...

We’re breaking out the bubbly* here at We Heart Towers with the announcement that our esteemed contributor (and Confessions of a Design Geek founder) Katie Treggiden has her very own magazine in print – along with magCulture’s very talented Jeremy Leslie. A few months back we put the word out about the duo’s Kickstarter campaign, which was looking to raise £14,000 to start the presses rolling on Fiera Magazine. With that target surpassed (and then some), Issue 1 of the biannual design-obsessed publication is ready and waiting for your reading pleasure. Launched at Mayfair design shop The New Craftsman, Fiera will publish in November and May, and the inaugural issue has been timed to include London Design Festival, Prague’s Designblok, the Lodz Design Festival and the Biennale Interieur in Kortrijk, Belgium – more than enough to keep you going until Spring.

Fiera Issue 1 begins with Kaleidoscope, a bountiful collection of images collated from the four design festivals that Katie explored. Some of the designs have been selected for greater investigation in the next chapter, which includes interviews with the makers and features on the creative processes and the exhibitions themselves. Opinion rounds out Fiera, offering long-form essays, insight and analysis on the main themes that came out of the shows. The 164-page magazine will have a print run of 1,000 and a cover price of £20; follow the link to order a copy.
