Decaying architectural gem welcomes beautifully restored furnishings in Berlin...

Between Time – A Curated Showcase of Fine Furnishings and Art is a collaborative exhibition put together by interior architect Gisbert Pöppler and vintage furniture dealer Erik Hofstetter, featuring some beautiful examples of salvaged and restored furniture and works of art which are being offered for sale to visitors. The selected pieces span numerous eras but come together with a stylish synergy.

The exhibition is as much about the setting as the exhibits themselves. The decaying glamour of the grand old Wallstrasse 85 provides the backdrop; the 19th Century building endured three decades of neglect behind the iron curtain and the crumbling showroom gives a poignant contrast to the wonderfully restored furnishings it contains. This will be one of the last opportunities to see the building in its present form before a huge renovation project transforms it completely. Between Time is currently showing, and closes at the end of the newly introduced Berlin Art Week on 22 September.
