Edition; Manchester

1 – 3 February

Edition; Manchester

Our friends DR.ME, along with screen printer and illustrator SAVWO, have transformed a Manchester city centre venue into a hive of creative output over the last two weeks. Inspired by ’70s and ’80s master printers from the Manchester Print Workshop – Edition sees the aforementioned creatives hooking up with design and illustration students from the University of Salford with a simple mission; to get arty and dirty, churning out a series of limited run prints, zines, drawings, paintings and postcards. Declaring a “new work for work’s sake” ethos – expect design that’s provocative, engaging and at the cutting-edge of creativity.

Edition; Manchester, 4B, Four Piccadilly Place, Manchester, M1 3BN; Running 1st to 3rd February, 11:00am – 6:00pm

INPRINT; Liverpool

3 February

INPRINT; Liverpool

With print fairs popping up at various North West locations, Leeds, Manchester and Salford to name a few, graphic design students cum organisers Holly Gleave, Chloe Adams and Emily Briselden-Waters realised there was nothing similar in Liverpool – and promptly set about changing that. Their first INPRINT event in December was a sell-out and so they’re back this Sunday at bar/cultural-venue The Shipping Forecast, selling prints, zines, cards, illustrations and more, from some of the best creative talent – some well known, others up and coming – from Liverpool and the surrounding areas.

INPRINT; Liverpool, The Shipping Forecast, 15 Slater Street Liverpool, L1 4BW; Running 3rd February, 12:00pm – 5:00pm. Free Entry

Fingers and Thumbs; Pop-Up

Until 2 February

Fingers and Thumbs; Pop-Up

Following on from the popular pop-up event they ran back in December, Fingers and Thumbs are back for three days with yet another appetising shellfish bonanza. Serving up mouth watering Colchester rock oysters, buckets of clams, king prawns and mussels, and a spicy broth with lobster, tiger prawns or crab claws, with full bar service (last time was bring your own bottle), it looks as though there’s going to be a lot of satisfied punters out there.

Fingers and Thumbs; Pop-Up, Railway Arch 289, Cambridge Heath Road, E2 9HA; Running until 2nd February, 6:00pm til late
