LDF10: Anti Design Festival HQ

Neville Brody brought the punk aesthetic to this year's festival...

LDF10: Anti Design Festival HQ

Ever one for challenging convention, graphic design royalty Neville Brody launched his own ‘fringe’ festival, that – whilst positioning itself firmly as against all the official festival stands for, “commercial success”, “greed culture” – was as much a part of the London Design Festival as some of the more upmarket events that took place. Whilst the ‘Anti Design Festival‘ ran a number of events, exhibitions and discussions throughout the week, it’s Shoreditch headquarters were the heart and soul of the concept – challenging conformity through a series of captivating installations and projects – for those who missed out, here’s a snapshot of the type of ‘tongue in cheek’ anarchy that Brody and his team explored and, whilst the spiky designer had already written the event off as a failure before it’s launch – that’ll be that ‘tongue in cheek’ anarchy again – we’re certainly looking forward to more of the same next year…
