For the first time ever, Japanese electronics giants, Sony, will be showcasing their design at Milan’s famous Salone Internazionale del Mobile. For the exhibition, which focuses on the ‘minimal’ essence of their Monolithic Design concept – removing elements such as buttons and speakers from the products’ surface to achieve harmony with a room’s interior – Sony have worked with pioneering London-based designers Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby – BarberOsgerby – to explore ways of integrating product within contemporary lifestyles. The results will showcase at next week’s fair and, upon being given the opportunity to interview both Sony’s project leader Kaz Ichikawa and BarberOsgerby, we decided we’d get our readers involved…..

If you have questions about this collaborative project that you’d like to put to Sony’s Monolithic Design project leader Kaz Ichikawa or the internationally acclaimed designers Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, email us on questions@weheart.co.uk, tweet us on @we_heart, or leave a post on our Facebook page…. or of course, leave a comment right here.

The best questions we receive by Sunday night will be put to the team behind this exciting project and we’ll post the results – along with photographs of the actual stand – next week…..
