Comme des Garçons at H&M

Comme des Garçons at H&M

The rather mind blowing ability to lure high fashion onto the high street that H&M possesses continues at pace this autumn/winter season with the introduction of their long awaiting Comme des Garçons collection. With collaborations including Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Roberto Cavalli and Viktor & Rolf already in the bag, Swedish affordable fashion giants Hennes & Mauritz AB ae no stranger to haute couture and this magical collection from Comme des Garçons’ Japanese owner, Rei Kawakubo, which includes a mens and womens collection, accessories and a unisex fragrance is the latest in a long line of esteemed collaborations which continue to raise the profile of this most stylish of high street stores.

“This collection really reflects Kawakubo’s creative spirit and integrity. It is complete with the designer’s trademark, independent style and clever cuts – elaborate tailoring, shirts, knits and a series of playful jersey pieces in dramatic black and midnight blue with accents of white and rose”
Margareta van den Bosch, H&M’s Creative Advisor

Comme des Garçons at H&M

Famous for breaking fashion rules, Rei Kawakubo’s Comme des Garçon label is as edgy as it gets. With guerilla pop up stores around the world and their famous conceptual London presence, Dover Street Market, rules and traditions are consistently disregarded in favour of experimentalism and creativity. It is with this sense of punk ethic and high end fashion contradiction that makes this commercial collaboration such an exciting one.

Comme des Garçons at H&M Debuts at H&M’s new Tokyo store on November 8th, then enters approximately 200 stores worldwide on November 13th.
